SCC Gives Back to DC Nonprofit Community: Meet The Purpose PRogram Class of 2020
At Scott Circle Communications, our mantra is “How can we be helpful?” We believe one of best ways we can embody that core value is by offering our time and talent to organizations with missions we believe in and who can benefit the most from our experience. It is in that spirit that our team created The Purpose PRogram, a tangible demonstration of our commitment to giving back to the DC community in which we live and work. We will be sharing our expertise with the first class of Purpose PRogram participants, and guiding them in developing actionable communications plans they can implement to raise their organizations’ profiles and increase their impact.
We are excited to introduce you to The Purpose PRogram Class of 2020:
Common Good City Farm: Common Good City Farm’s mission is nourishing DC’s vibrant community through urban farming, with an emphasis on creating food for community members.
Project Create: First founded in 1994, Project Create provides accessible arts education for children, youth, and families in the DC area experiencing homelessness and poverty to improve their lives and their community.
Prevention of Blindness Society of Metropolitan Washington: Our longest-serving Purpose PRogram organization, the Prevention of Blindness Society of Metropolitan Washington has been dedicated to championing preserving, improving, and championing healthy vision for adults and children in the DC community since its founding in 1936.
Family and Youth Initiative: Since its inception nine years ago,, DC’s Family and Youth Initiative has worked to connect teens in foster care with adults as both mentors and foster families, giving them the guidance, support and sense of belonging essential to their well being.
Starting in March and over the next six months, we’ll be sharing updates and lessons from our monthly sessions with our Purpose PRogram participants. We hope you’ll follow along with us.
