Scott Circle Communications Wins Ragan's PR Daily Award: Best Healthcare PR or Media Campaign

We are so proud to announce that Scott Circle Communications has been named a winner in the 2019 Ragan’s PR Daily Awards for “Best PR or Media Relations Campaign” in the Healthcare PR & Marketing category. Judged by globally regarded experts, this program honors the top work in communications, PR, marketing and media.

Our team was chosen from a wide pool of entries to receive first prize for the impact of our campaign with client Alliance for Safe Online Pharmacies (ASOP Global), an organization with the mission of protecting consumers worldwide by working to ensure safe access to medications. 

We successfully raised awareness around the issues surrounding U.S. importation of Canadian drugs, educating the American public on why buying lower-price drugs from Canada not only creates health risks but threatens overall supply.

Some key results from our campaign include:

  • Establishing trusted relationships with key healthcare and health policy reporters that resulted in ASOP Global’s experts becoming trusted sources

  • Securing 70+ media placements for ASOP Global and its partners, establishing them as public experts on timely drug importation issues

  • Leveraging key moments in time and mounting media pressure that resulted in Prime Minister Justin Trudeau making a public vow to protect Canada’s drug supply
