The New Yorker: Climate Change Newsletter
The New Yorker has launched a new kind of climate change newsletter. By narrowing the focus, “The Climate Crisis” hopes to make reading about climate change more accessible. The newsletter will follow more of an editorial format, featuring a short essay, links and an interview section. Authored by acclaimed environmental writer Bill McKibben, the newsletter is released weekly.
The Inner Circle Take: Climate change is an overwhelming topic. While one of the most pressing problems we face, it can be hard to wrap your head around the issue- which is why we are excited about this newsletter. The interview section offers a great opportunity to pitch your client’s unique perspective on our climate and a longer form newsletter could be a chance to highlight your focus around climate change.
Seeker, a science focused outlet has launched a new podcast called “Surprisingly Brilliant.” The podcast, produced and distributed with iHeartMedia, will focus on “scientific breakthroughs and the unconventional methods that achieve them.” The first season will include 14 episodes, each 45 minutes long.
